Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of hamexam.team. By signing in or using the Service, you agree to them.

Effective date: October 30, 2026

1. The Service

hamexam.team (the “Service”) provides a workspace for amateur radio Volunteer Examiner (VE) teams to organize their team, examiners, roles and invitations. We may add, change or remove features over time.

2. Not an exam authority

hamexam.team is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with the FCC, any Volunteer Examiner Coordinator (VEC) or exam.tools, and it does not administer, grade or certify license examinations. You remain responsible for following the rules of the FCC, your VEC and any other applicable authority. Names of VECs and other organizations are used only to identify them.

3. Your account

  • You sign in with a Google account, and you must provide accurate information.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure.
  • Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Teams, roles and invitations

  • The person who creates a team becomes its Team Leader and is responsible for the team's information and members.
  • You may only link a team to an exam.tools team and VEC that you are authorized to represent, and only invite people who expect to be invited.
  • Invitation links can be used by anyone who has them unless they are restricted to an email address. Share them only with the intended person.
  • Team Leaders and Managers can remove members; members can leave a team at any time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Impersonate any person, VE team, VEC or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Use the Service to violate any law or the rules of the FCC or your VEC.
  • Upload or link to unlawful, infringing, harmful or misleading content, including team logos you have no right to use.
  • Access other teams' data without permission, or probe, disrupt or overload the Service.
  • Scrape, resell or reverse engineer the Service except as allowed by law.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the information and content you add to the Service, such as team details and logos. You grant us a limited license to store, display and process it only as needed to operate and improve the Service. You confirm that you have the rights to the content you provide.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information, and is part of these terms.

8. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end access to the Service for accounts or teams that violate these terms or put the Service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will give notice first.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that data will never be lost, so keep your own records of anything required for your exam sessions.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and for significant changes we will provide notice in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
